Hair Accessories: A New Trend?

Hair accessories usually fit in two categories; juvenile or sophisticated. They can be fun little butterfly clips for little girls or they can be pearl pins in a bridal style updo. Watching the American Music Awards, I found a new category for accessories thanks to the always innovative, Kelly Osbourne.
The spiked hair combs added to her braided coiffure seemed to mirror her status in popular culture as rock royalty and it seems it could be worn on any occasion.
The only issue with the hair piece for this occasion was that it clashed with her earrings. The earrings were so dainty they took away from the impact of the hairpiece.
